I find myself opening 2 bottles of wine at one time to taste and compare quite frequently. Anyone else out there who does this or am I just "out there"?

I find it is more fun with others.

My wife and I often do this, but when she is on a business trip, which is also often, I am reduced to having to do it alone--and then I feel guilty about leaving open bottles for the next day, but only guilty for about five minutes...

Sort of with Foodie on that. When Judy's been off on a trip, I've had as many as three opened at once.

I did that with the Selby Sonoma Cabernet Sauvignon and Oberon Napa Valley C.S. to try to compare grapes from the different regions (which I still can't really distinguish). Now I'm left with two half-bottles and I won't be drinking them tonight because I'm going to the Beaujolais Nouveau dinner.
Living alone, I don't do it very often but have done so to compare vintages, etc.

Only on a slow night!
