Any thoughts on what wine to pair with grilled veal chops with a dried porcini mushroom based rub? Thanks.

Would go with an Italian White from Alto Adige such as a Pinot Bianco, a Gewurztaminer, or a Muller Thurgau (yes, a Muller Thurgau, but only from Alto Adige).

With mushrooms in the dish, a red Burgundy with mushroom/truffle element might also work. I have found some Nuits St. Georges wines to have this quality.

Veal with mushrooms demands a CdP! Carole makes a killer veal shanks with mushrooms that pairs beautifully with CdP, as well as se;ect Bordeaux.
