- Innkeeper - 07-08-2003 Unfortunately, Bev broke her foot today. She will be on a walkers for two weeks, and then gets a walking cast. In the process of taking care of her, my problem swelled up to three times its normal size; so I'm going to bed right now with an ice pack. Cheers. It's fun to be in your '60s. - winoweenie - 07-08-2003 What a BUMMER! Give her my best and hope all goes well with the recovery. WW - Georgie - 07-08-2003 How unfortunate. Feel better, both of you! - randery - 07-08-2003 Sorry to read that, IK. I get my current cast cut off and a walking cast on Friday. Broke my ankle 6/27. Thought it somewhat surreal to be choosing a color for my cast in the throes of some pretty potent pain. I hope to be "cast free" by 7/26..off to the Cape. Speedy recovery to you both. [This message has been edited by randery (edited 07-08-2003).] - dananne - 07-08-2003 Add me to the list of those sending best wishes for a speedy recovery. By the way, I'm going to bed with an ice pack, too. I dislocated my surgically-repaired shoulder in a soccer game last night. For several years, the "anne" part of "dananne" has been demanding I get out of the competitive leagues and join the "Over 30s." This just gives her more amunition . . . - JagFarlane - 07-08-2003 Over 30's club? Eh...I think someone forgot to mention that to my dad...he's currently in the process of developing that infamous washboard abs...so a lil fire to give back to "anne"...someone who is 49...can still be in shape enough to outdo those 30-somethins...heh heh heh. And speedy recovery to all those injured! G'luck making it to the Cape cast-free! - Kcwhippet - 07-08-2003 My sincerest condolences to Bev - and you too, IK. Is this what I have to look forward to when I officially hit my 60's in three weeks? - Bucko - 07-08-2003 Too bad you don't live next door. I have a new Buck knife and a dangerous amount of knowledge of your problem...... Best to the Mrs. - Thomas - 07-09-2003 KC, 3 weeks at 60! Today I turn 58. IK, is that the same foot Bev twisted last year? She must have a weak ankle there. Tell her I wish her well--you too, for that matter. - hotwine - 07-09-2003 Best to you both, IK. Here's to speedy recoveries. And for you other injured folk, too. - JagFarlane - 07-09-2003 Hey happy birthday Foodie! Make it a good one man! - Kcwhippet - 07-09-2003 Happy Birthday, Foodie. I don't know about you, but hitting the large numbers just doesn't seem all that big a deal anymore. I'm more active than I was ten years ago, eating great food, drinking more wonderful wines, and most importantly, sharing life with a fabulous woman. - Bucko - 07-09-2003 Does your wife know about her? - ShortWiner - 07-09-2003 Sorry to hear it, IK. My best to you both. - Kcwhippet - 07-09-2003 They're very, very close. - Thomas - 07-09-2003 KC, I also had my regular physical last week--doc says I have the stats of a guy whose thirty... - Kcwhippet - 07-09-2003 Did that include a follicle check? - Thomas - 07-09-2003 facial only--still full and growing... - hotwine - 07-09-2003 Happy birthday, Foodie! - Georgie - 07-09-2003 Wishing you a year full of good love, good health, good friends, and good times! Enjoy! |
