Georgie, that's a truly inspiring story. That little girl must have a heart of gold and you are the kind of teacher we need to try to better things for the unfortunate ones.

My stint at Holy Family in Tulsa was short and not-too-sweet. Of the 3 High Schools this was the last one to admit me so when expelled I decided to join the Army Air Force. Sister Terry wore her ruler out in the 2 months she was blessed with my prescence. WW

Georgie,

Both of my parents and my mother and father in law were teachers (my parents left the profession after about a decade).

My mother in law currently teaches special needs children at the ggrade school level and I will show her your story. I think teachers who work in theses areas especially are very close to the children and they know that its all of the small steps that matter the most!

Many thanks!

Today Kevin went on the swings! Nine years old and he is just starting to play like a normal kid. This is nothing short of a miracle. The whole staff, from the principal on down, is just ecstatic and can hardly believe it. Thank you for all of your kind words and allowing me to share my joy with you.

Georgie, have you talked to Kevin's parents about the progress he's making? I'm sure they will be excited also.

Yes, I called, but only got the message machine. I know they must be excited too.
