- winoweenie - 02-02-2005 IK. Finished my online banking and decided to make my monthly visit to brand Xs' site when lo & behovven Karl asked a simple question that was turned into a vitrolic, biased, and completely one-sided outpouring of nonesense I've seen since the election rhetoric. A complete re-hash of pre-election hype, Bucko I was ALMOST tempted to jump in and help you out, but then reminded myself why I quit posting there. WW - Innkeeper - 02-02-2005 Sigh! - Thomas - 02-02-2005 What's he talkin' 'bout? And what's an R & R, other than rest and recreation??? - Innkeeper - 02-02-2005 He's talking about my post on the Winelovers Board about the Iraq election. Didn't mean to cause such an uproar and thanks for staying out of it. - hotwine - 02-02-2005 They still don't get it, and seem intent on following Chappaquidick Teddy off a cliff. Let 'em have their board; I've got better things to do than waste more time there. - Thomas - 02-02-2005 IK, I made a vow to stay out of ALL online political discussions--mainly because they take on a life that can hardly be described as "discussion." Anyway, I just read the thread. All I can say is: a lot of people make a lot of statements without really knowing anything about history. It is one more reason to stay out of such arguments. I am really uninterested in reading or hearing uninformed opinions--I like it when facts play a role in a discussion. - Bucko - 02-02-2005 I'm pretty much a one-man band ... but I have a thick hide. - winoweenie - 02-02-2005 Thot I used great restraint Buckster. Hotsie, you'd think the Bush-Bashers would find some new comments, observations, or actual facts that haven't been beaten to death on the internet already. And yes, I admire the Iraquis' determination and courage. WW - Bucko - 02-02-2005 Yes, but that doesn't excuse IK -- the rabble rouser. I think we should stone him in the town square for daring to mention anything positive about Iraq. - Drew - 02-03-2005 QUINTUS: "People should know when they're conquered." MAXIMUS: "Would you, Quintus? Would I?" Taken from the opening scene of Gladiator as the Romans prepare to conquor Germania....Food for thought. Drew - winoweenie - 02-04-2005 IK and Bucko. Hope you read the Wall Strret Journals' article entitled " The Exit Strategy Democrats ". Would love to see it posted on the WLP board. hehehe. WW - Bucko - 02-04-2005 I missed it WW. - zenda2 - 02-05-2005 Here you go: http://www.opinionjournal.com/editorial/feature.html?id=110006243 - Bucko - 02-06-2005 Thanks! - Kcwhippet - 02-08-2005 You've really done it, IK. Just took a look and you're over 180 responses. Sure hope you didn't opt for email notification. - Bucko - 02-08-2005 He really stirred up a sh*t storm. I bailed out of that thread -- too much venom. - Kcwhippet - 02-14-2005 Looks like it topped out at 211 replies! Bet you won't do that again, IK. |
