Abbazia di Novacella, 1997, $9. Alto Adige:

Fine Riesling-like petroleum nose, great fruit-acid balance.

A good match to a dinner of oven roaster chicken marinated in white wine, garlic and tarragon and then smoked with peach wood, plus cold potato-onion with tarragon vinegar-mustard-yogurt-honey dressing.
