Interesting that a Kabinett of that age was holding up. I love Mosel wines--probably my favorite wine region in Germany although there are some Rheingau wines I like and the producers have improved wines from other regions such as the Pfalz, the Nahe, and Rheinhessen. Look for Gunderloch wines when you get to Germany. Especially the Nackenheimer Rothenberg (red hill). It is worth seeking out.

I had a 91 Kabinett, also around $20, a couple of weeks ago. Possibly the same wine (not too many wines that old at that price in a given market!)Max Ferd. Richter...
It was good, but the Spatlese at $35ish was just awesome.
