Marquez de Casa Concha Cabernet Sauvignon 2002 Chile Maipo Valley

My first impression was how dark was the color of this wine. The word that came to my mind was "Ink"...

On the nose Oak, some hints of tabacco, and some dark ripe fruit. Very concentrated.

The flavor is more on the side of Oak/tabaco/leather. Medium to long finish.

Paired with Churasco and Sweet Chorizo in the Grill...

How much money and how much alcohol?

14% Alcohol. Price around $15.00, don't remember well.

Should have mentioned that on my original posting. Sorry.

I love this wine. It's been one of my favorites for a long time! The same winemaker makes the unofficial signature wine of Chile - Concha y Toro - Don Melchor CS Private reserve. This is a spectacular CS, but pricey.
I also love their 2002 Marques de Casa Concha Merlot.
Here are my notes:
What nice surprise! Deep, solid magenta red stains the glass. Velvet smooth scent of mocha, sweet nuts, cherries, spiced berries, traces of open smoke and notes of sweet vanilla on top. Medium to full body, great texture and a palate of near perfect balance. This wine is undeniably a star among under $15.00 wines. This merlot, Bordeaux style treasure, leaves impression of solid, serious and expensive wine . Viva la Chile!
I rated this wine 91 pts. Imported by Excelsior wine&Spirits, Old Brookville.NY. Found in Trader Joe's and World market. Price $15.00
