I went to dinner last to Bone Fish Grill and order some wine by the glass.

My last selection was the Acacia "Carneros" Pinot Noir 2003 that they have on a feature wine list by the glass and by the bottle.

I order a couple of Cabernet before that one, because I always thought that Pinot is such a weak red wine.

But... Surprise... Surprise.

This wine was so good!!!!!

It has a very balance nose of dark ripe fruit, oak, and wet earth.

In the palate I can remember tasting cherries and black berries. For some reason I thought about fruit punch made with real fruit.

I think I wasted my time and money ordering the Cabernet before this one. This wine went very well with the Filet Mignon that I ordered.

Funny thing was that I asked the waiter to show me the bottle of this wine and the bottle has the vintage as 2004 instead of 2003... Either way, I love it.

I checked it out on Total Wines and More and the price for the 2004 was $19.99.

The 04 should be superior to the 03 as the vintage was better. You got lucky. Go buy a lottery tickie. WW

Lotto...? Twice a week for the last 16 years...! No luck, so far...! Kind of lost my hope except that I want to retire young and go live in Napa Valley...!
