nose and tastes of dark fruit (mostly blackberry), pepper and spice, chocolate and expresso. a juicy wine, despite being fairly tannic, that will probably improve for a few years. and a bargain at the price of $12.99. (if you care, WS gave it an 89.)

Can anyone help me find the 1999 Hogue Syrah in the San Francisco southern peninsula / Silicon Valley area? I have only been able to locate the Hogue Cab-Merlot blend. Many thanks!

Hi ZNEB. I'd look up Houges' web-site, get their 800# and find out . They can tell you if their dist in the bay area is carrying it and, if not, who they are shipping direct. I heartily second the Post. Yummy juice. WW
