Stopped at the Parducci tasting room near Ukiah on my way back from Mendocino the other day. They seem to have about a half dozen different labels. This was one of the better ones I tasted, still lots of ripe red fruit despite the age, nice spicy finish, tastes like a nice Cotes du Rhone. The kicker...a special closeout deal of $5 a bottle. A case barely fit amongst the vacation luggage. The 99 Parducci Petite at $6 weren't half bad either. I'm happy to take these old wines off their hands at those prices. These two will be the house red for the next month or so. If you're near the tasting room check them out.
