- dananne - 03-06-2007 Color borders on purple. Pretty, floral red and black fruits on the nose. Lively, juicy flavors of ripe cherry and plum with a bouncy acidity, a noticeable mineral streak, and some savory black pepper notes on the finish. Medium body like that of a Syrah. Lush tannins hold it all together. Exceptionally food friendly at 13.5% alc., and it is a blast to drink right now. We loved it, and it's a steal at about $12. Quality is that of a wine 3X the price. One of the best value wines we've had in a long, long time, and we'll be buying a lot of it. Highly recommended by the both of us -- we're very exicted about this find. - TheEngineer - 03-06-2007 Thanks for the heads up!. So many good cheap wines from this area!! |
