2003 Vina Maipu, Malbec, Mendoza ($7.00 Blue Hill Wine Shop). Alcohol level, 12.9%. Lots prunes, and some blackberries and cinnamon on the nose and upfront. Nice complexity with smooooth tannin and low acid in the middle. Finishes long and pleasant. Overall impression is fair to middling; not bad for seven bucks.

Matched it with grillpanned Teriyaki Flank Steak, pilaf, and salad with B.C. dressing. Nice meal for a Tuesday night.
