- sharewine - 07-25-2000 We received a bottle of 1995 Peyre Rose Clos Syrah Leone, from the Coteaux du Languedoc, as a gift. Anyone ever tried it or know anything about it? Any idea on whether it's good to drink now or should be put back for a few years? Thanks for any info you can share. [This message has been edited by sharewine (edited 07-25-2000).] - tomstevenson - 07-28-2000 Some 70% of Domaine Peyre Rose is planted with Syrah and the style of its Syrah Léone is very unusual, elegant, enigmatic. Five years is about right (although the French tend to drink this wine 3 years old), so I would sup up, unless you have a case, in which case I'd drink 6 bottles in the next six months and open up the other six every six months, just to see where its (and your) peak-drinking is.
