Dark color, somewhere in that netherworld between ruby and violet. Blackberry and black pepper on nose and palate. Very earthy and funky, which I tend to like. Not too heavy with the tannins, but enough to give it some weight. Long finish that picks up some grape and plum flavors. Alc. 13%. A nice little $10 Rhone that I picked up locally. Lot of wine here for $10. Could've put it in the Steals category. Don't know the grapes used, but I'm guessing there is a good bit of syrah in with that grenache.
