- winoweenie - 03-06-2007 Deep ruby. Friendly nose with loads of black fruits, tar, and just a hint of honeysuckle. All come across on the palate along with some cassis and tropical fruit. Solid entry, weighty center and a 4+ lapper finish. This sucker needs another 4-7 to resolve the tannins. but still a lovely effort. 91/90 44 on the mailing list.14.8% alc. WW - winoweenie - 03-15-2007 BRW and meeself had this along with the Bouchy today for lunch. No question this is a superior bottling of this varietal in the USofA. While both of these hummers hit the outstanding mark pernt-wise, this baby becomes so complex in the glass you'd need 6 tongues to sort out all the flavors. WW |
