Appellation Minervois. Syrah (60 %), Carignan (27%) and Grenache (13%). Dark purple in the glass but not opaque. Another one that showed better on the second day with deep black fruit, bitter chocolate, massive tannins mid palate and a nice finish. This one needs a fatty roast or crock pot beef. 13.5% Alc/vol. $12
