70% Grenache, 20% Cinsault, 10% Syrah

Another very approachable 07 CDR, maybe too much so. Dark purple/red in the glass. Flavors of sweet dark berry, Chambord Liqueur, herbs, black pepper and liquorice. The wine drinks very easy from first pour, not flabby, but needs a tad more backbone. That being my only complaint as the finish is lingering and satisfying. I've been collecting many cases of 07 CDR's but I wonder as to their age ability...they're so approachable now. 14.5% Alc/vol. Paid $16 at a higher priced store. $12 or so would be a case buy for me.
