Went to a Rhone tasting yesterday. The 99 vintage outshines the 98. In fact, many of the latter are falling apart.

Had my first 99 rhone two nights ago. It was abit closed. The second night it opened up to reveal a lot of fruit and it also smoothed out the tannins. Great first tast of the 99's.

Domaine Alary Daniel et Denis
Cairanne Cotes Du Rhone Villages

My shop finally got a CDRV in. They are working with a new importer so I am expecting a whole lot of new treasures.
