$7 at Total. I had tried the 2003 before and not liked it as much. This one is very nice though. It's made from ugni blanc, which I think is called trebbiano in Italy but I may be wrong about that. Anyway, for such an obscure grape I thought the wine had the hallmarks of sauvignon blanc from Bordeaux or maybe the Loire: beautifully balanced with very nice acidity. The nose was very pleasing though not that forward, maybe the one thing I would say about this wine that is not entirely positive. I thought it was a bit light, with hints of flowers and maybe quince (I went looking for quince jelly to verify that but couldn't find any - note to self, need to buy quince jelly). The palate was wonderful though. It's an incredible value and now my house white for the foreseeable future.

Same grape used to make Cognac.

We've used this as our house white in the past, especially during our hot Atlanta summers. Great QPR, and a fun white.
