Had a couple bottles of this at dinner the other night at a restaurant in Denver on a biz trip. Great aromas of earth and fruit spill out of the glass. Inky dark, but not opaque. Great flavors of dark fruits and a touch of pepper. The finish is long and satifying. Feels great in the mouth.

Definitely a Pax wine, but one that you can drink now. I think it needs 2 to 3 to come around, but it certainly has softer tannins and is a step down from their single vineyard Syrahs.

This wine is 52% Syrah, 47% Grenache and then Rousanne.

It was 35 bucks off the winery mailing list and 70 off the restaurant wine list, if memory serves me right. Great buy on a terrific wine.
