Had this after the Caymus today at lunch. WOW! Now I know why RP's last tasting notes on this 2 or 3 ago gave it 100. Hard for a Rhone to get better than this. Still deep ruby, the smell of the hills blast your senses. A deep impression of the black fruits with a touch of bacon, lite smell of tabacco, spices and a hint of sweet vanilla. Silky entry, a center palate that weighs as much as IK and me put together at the January resolve party, and a finish that was timed between 40-45 full. A definate 5Lapper.
This is my last bottle so adios, and good-bottle-well-met. WW 96-97
