$9.39 in one of my favorite haunts. Dark black/ruby, not opaque. On opening a little funk on the nose. Very floral nose after 30 minutes. Flavors of Dark plum and fruits with some stewed dark fruit, earth and mushroom. Not much of a middle but the finish is Looong. Good value. Coulda posted in Best Buys. 12.5% Alc/vol. Gonna get more.

I like Clavel, especially their La Copa Santa.

I did get more and popped another tonight. This bottle was more about chocolate up front and herb de provance than the previous one. Not the stuff of the '98 version, but a very good example of cotes du Rhone for little money.
