I am making spaghetti and I am not a fan of wine, but my boyfriend is. Is there a wine that we can both enjoy that won't break the bank?

Welcome to the board. With an Italian pasta like spaghetti it's nice to have an Italian wine. I like Chianti Classico with spaghetti but you can save money by getting a plain Chianti or a Barbaresco.
As to enjoyment, he may enjoy it more than you do if you are not into wines.

Let me add my welcome. I agree with WOW on the Chianti Classico. The one from Cecchi is excellent and affordable ($10 more or less). However, Chianti is best enjoyed with food. Many people including me don't care for it before or after eating, and that could easily include you.
An alternative wine that will both go with the spaghetti and taste fine by itself is Barbera. Look for Barbera d'Alba or Barbera d'Asti. The less expensive ones are the better ones for these purposes. The more expensive ones are more complicated too. Look for those under $15.

IK- I found a few nice barberas from the Amador Cty and Placerville areas. Boeger has a great one for a little less than $15, Villa Toscano is nice also.
