I admit I am quite ignorant of French wine. That said, I am hoping someone out there isn't. I have a bottle of St. Emilion Grand Cru - 1990. It is a numbered bottle which I don't remember seeing before. We received this bottle YEARS ago and I just found it in the basement storage! I am wondering if (1) we missed our chance to drink it and (2) are we sitting on a good bottle of wine?

Thanks for your help.

Hi Mom, and welcome to the Wine Board. You didn't mention the producer, but changes are you have a nice wine ready to drink. Pop the cork with a nice hunk of beef.

Incidentally, it is a Bordeaux, not a Rhone.
