VdP d'Oc, $10 at Total.

Eh.

I like some of Mas Carlot's wines, but this tasted like the grapes had cooked on the vines. 2004 did not kill as many people as its predecessor but it was still pretty hot in that part of the world, apparently enough to provide a bit of a challenge.

Yeah, it's hot enough there in a regular year.

Last week I had a Paul Mas 100% Syrah from 2001 (or 2?) vintage. It was a fine, silky, absolute stunning wine for its price back then--$11.
