With our Friday night tenderloin, yukon gold garlic mashers and salad. This is a limited bottling of 2500 cases. Clear dark ruby, not opaque. Dark plum, bright fruit and a little chocolate on the nose. Bright flavors that mimic the nose with a tannic mid-palate that takes you to a 20 sec. finish. A well crafted wine but nothing "Speciale", just not my style. 13%Alc/vol. $15.

Where exactly is this wine produced? 20 second finish--sad!!!

Foodie, it's a Vin De Pays D'oc, Languedoc-Roussillon near the city of Carassonne. Aged 9 months in French oak and bottled without filtration.

Sounds like if they filtered and fined it you'd be making the post under the Blush Thread. WW

Drew, look for Les Jamelles Syrah, 2000. It's still a VdP, but a much better quaffer than the blend that you describe. Nice with grilled burgers, especially. And still only about $7.99.
