Dark garnet w/ light purple reflections. Legs & more legs...paints the glass. Cherry aromas w/ some earthiness..peat? Not a Rhone quaffer, but nice w/ food. Flavors similar to aromas...mainly cherry balanced by earthy hints. Tannins evident but integrated. At $15, a nice bottle to thumb the nose at wine writers who say Carignane should only be blended. cp
