Named after his home port this is a solid blend of 85% Syrah, 12% Mourvedre, and 3% Viognier from a combo of grapes from the Bouchey and Ceil du Cheval vineyards. 405 cases of this vintage. With the prolonged heat of this vintage this is slightly more jammy and forwardly lush than normal. Nose hints of mince and apple pie, minty raspberries, a touch of bakers cocoa and sweet spices. All come over to the palate. Mouth-coating and concentrated flavors hit the tongue and the weighty center leads into a solid 4 lapper finish. Still needs another 1-3 but immensly enjoyable noe. 91/90 44 14.8% alc. WW

I'm so lost when it comes to the northeast. Maybe soon......

Braps the reason you may be lost is you're about 1500 miles from the target. McCrea is in Washington....the North-WEST. WW
