Domaine du Pegau
Chateauneuf du Pape
Cuvee Reservee '90

Just using the nose, I'm trying to figure out the percentage of grenache in this wine and am having trouble doing so. I'm guessing somewhere around 80%. That being said, the nose has some dark sweet fruit with a touch of dusty earth (mouvedre possibly?). The palate has more dark fruit; Luscios blueberry and blackberry. There is also a hint of red raspberry which makes the palate more vibrant (maybe syrah?). The finish falls just short of being "long". Great juice.

This nose is full of great, sweet black fruit, and some vanilla..... or cream..... or both. Outstanding nose; I could breath this for hours. The palate has the same and seems to be in great balance. The creamy black fruit is absolutely fresh and enticing. This wine has a seemless feel and structure. My guess on aging is this could go 20 - 25 yrs. Possibly more with the right storage. Excellent juice.
