- Drew - 10-17-2004

Ok, someone's playing a trick on Drew. This is a nice Pinot Noir and not a Syrah. Raspberry, tea, cola, forest floor and earthy notes. Medium bodied with well integrated tannins. Nothing like a syrah...no resemblance a 'tall. Even Eileen agreed. If served blind I would have bet 2 of WW's pay checks that it was Pinot. A nice, albeit confusing, wine. 13.6 %Alc/vol.
$13. Here's what the winery has to say about the wine.

Winemaker's Comments:
A Syrah with a nicely focused core of dark, rich blueberry, cherry and plum fruits and moderate tannins. These elements are complemented by sweet spices, mint, smoke, meat and earthy notes.
