1991 Chapoutier Hermitage La Sizeranne. This has opened up a bit since the last time I tried it about a year ago. Ruby red, no signs of aging. Dark cherry, black raspberry, a bit of plum and blueberry are very upfront on the palate and followed with some herb, spice and toasty oak. Tannins a bit drying, but nevertheless, pretty darn good juice.

About 3 moths ago I opened up a 90 Sirenne. It was beautiful!!!! Well worth the wait and ready to go a while yet. Then last week I opened another and it was quite thin and diluted compared to the first.

Just a reminder, there are no great wine just great bottles.
