Picked this up the other day because the sign below it gave a Parker rating of 89. I don't usually fall for this trick but I was weak! Very dark, almost opaque, black ruby. Barnyard and funk scents on opening which, thankfully, blew off. Earth, mushroom, stewed fruit aromas and flavors dominate with no forward fruit flavors. Either a very "terroir" driven wine or a cooked bottle as the cork was 80% wine soaked. $8.99 If this was how the wine was intended to show then Parker can have all of it. Serves me right for buying on ratings alone.
