Picked this up at the discounter at the first of the month and forgot about it until looking for a pairing for Piemontese pot roast tonight. Opened an hour before dinner but not decanted.
Deep purple in the glass, not cloudy but not crystal-clear either, unfiltered. Wonderful nose of cassis and a bit of earth, deep red fruit on the palate tending to black, moderate finish. 60% Cab and 40% Syrah, 13.5% alc/vol and about $13. Loved it, will buy more.

Tes. There's another wine from the same house that is a Grenache/Syrah cuvee' (and about half the price), but it's still in the cellar... haven't tried it yet.
