One of best whites we've had in a long time. 1994, Paul Jaboulet Aine, Le Chevalier de Sterimberg, Hermitage (Blanc!). Picked this up a couple of months ago from www.wine.com 's "rare wine" section for around $17.00. It is no longer available, but would look for more recent vintages. Had it with home smoked roast chicken and salad tonight. The wine was complex, but not fresh fruity (obviously), upfront with a hint of grapefruit. This intensified at midpoint with nicely balanced acid, and more complexity. The finish lingered so long that it was reminiscent of certain well aged reds.
