The color is a very deep purple almost opaque.

Lots of black fruit on the nose which comes at you rather strong. It tastes like the nose at first, with stront black fruits and especially black currant. More latet taste of chocolate, leather and gravel...mostly stones....with a strong spiciness at the finish. Long long LONG finish....in fact so long...not sure where mid palate was when starting......

This one is a bit of a sensory overload type wine but still was fairly balanced overall..........lovely!! Better than even their first wine from 2001....IMHO. $47.99 per bottle.
