- Drew - 05-07-2004 Monteray County. This is a very nice, straitforward, syrah from California that's cheap. Very dark in the glass. Ripe blackberry and ground pepper flavors with a somewhat viscous texture. Not overblown like some Aussie Shiraz but the fruit is very full. A simple wine but provided me with mouthfulls of pleasure. 13.5%Alc/vol. $8 Drew - Drew - 05-08-2004 Popped another one tonight just to be sure it was that good...and it was. My wine store gives 20% discount on whole case buys and at $8 per bottle it makes this little deal at $6.40 per. Might have to grab a case. Drew - winoweenie - 05-09-2004 Will look for that lil' hummer Monday 'afores I gets' tied up with washing my socks. WW |
