Nose red currants? Raspberry? Others chime in with pepper and clove, chocolate or cocoa. One Francophile said it tasted sweet. I and other defenders say it was fruity--not sweet. I found it very enjoyable at this young age. I have one more bottle
(Brian Babcock's top-of-the-line Syrah.)
