- quijote - 11-21-2004 I would not have liked this oaked viognier on its own, but it went reasonably well with a scrumptious crustless onion quiche, mesclun tossed with fig-infused balsamic, and slices of San Simon cheese. The wine mostly had a floral and almond scent and flavor--merely a slight peach/apricot flavor often linked to viognier. Still, quite tasty with the quiche. And did I mention that the quiche was scrumptious? 13.5% Alc., $9 [This message has been edited by quijote (edited 11-21-2004).] [This message has been edited by quijote (edited 11-21-2004).] - Thomas - 11-21-2004 Sounds interesting. Lately, I have been topping many of my salads with fig balsamic vinegar, and am addicted... - winoweenie - 11-22-2004 I agree with the last part of the post!
