...so the soup's still on. What would people suggest with a cheddar cheese soup?

Apremont is a white wine from Savoie, France, that is usually a good choice for cheese fondue. Not the same cheeses, but should be worth a try. Usually in the $10 range.

Apremont is a good wine, but I would go with sherry for cheddar soup.
