Had this out and we didn`t get to it so had it with lunch yesterday with my doggy-bag from Roxys`.This is surprising in regards it is rite at the top of its` game. Soft, Silky entry , medium center and finish. The Black fruits have mellowed into ripe plum, the earthy, forest floor nose and taste are a soft note in the background that you have to identify rather than it jumping out at you.Anyone with any of this should definately check it as IMHO it is about to start that down-hill slide. And the 1978 still has at least 10 years in it. What a difference a year makes!

Hi Tom, How true, truw, truw. The 78 Guigals are still massive and the 78 Bordeauxs` are still acting like they will fade into tannic obscurity before they are drinkable. Don`t have but a few 1st from 79 left. They were great drinkin` tho while they lasted, or is it that they lasted while they were good drinkin`? Winoweenie
