- newbiedrew - 05-18-2001 What kind of wine would match best with ratatouille? - winoweenie - 05-18-2001 A Chianti Reserve or a nice Calif Zin. WW and how unexcusibly rude of me...Welcome to the board. I got excited as ratta is one of my very favorite dishes. ww [This message has been edited by winoweenie (edited 05-19-2001).] - Innkeeper - 05-18-2001 Hi Newbiedrew, and welcome to the wine board. My gut reaction was to go with a Cotes Du Rhone, but a ratay needs more acid. The Chianti would work, but we would go with something closer like a Piedmont Barbera d'Asti, or a Cru Beaujolais such as a Morgon or Moulin de Vent. Let us not forget the good SW's. - ddf68 - 05-21-2001 IK, I think you had it right the first time. Grenache from the South of France--Cotes du Rhone, Cotes du Provence, Cotes du Ventoux. ddf |
