- Innkeeper - 07-14-2001 With Mother away, found meself having a light supper of cervelat and "spring mix" on a nice hunk of French Peasant Bread picked up from a local baker at our farmer's market. Was on the way to the cellar to pick out a Morgon or something when I remembered there was a bottle of riesling in the fridge. Had recently read that sausage went well with high octane off dry riesling, so we gave it a shot. The Greenwood Ridge, Mendocino Ridge, White Riesling '99, hit the spot. Very, very enjoyable. The versatility of riesling never ceases to amaze me. As they say, "When in doubt................." - Thomas - 07-14-2001 IK, don't tell ww. Now that he has come to his senses regarding overblown reds, he might start sinking money into sw and cause a rise in prices... - Bucko - 07-14-2001 Greenwood Ridge usually does a good job with their wines. I have tried several over the years. Bucko |
