I can't recall a cava that I didn't like, and only 1 prosecco (don't remember the name) failed to excite me. I know people rightly have an affinity for good champagne, but at the lower price points, prosecco and cava are for me! - Thomas - 06-06-2003 The answer to your question lies with the caterers and establishments that do weddings, et al. They get the crummiest sparkling wines for two reasons: they make a bundle of money on them, and their customers do not complain about the situation. I will never understand why people do not demand what they want for their weddings and other major celebrati instead of allowing a suited wedding planner or catering manager with snooty attitude tell them what they will be forced to pay for. Typically these people prefer to pick out their own wines. You would not believe ( or maybe you would) the cheap stuff that these people buy and want served. They certainly can afford better if they wanted to have it. They either don't know better or don't seem to care. |
