I live on the central coast of California. A group of women are getting together for a gourmet weekend, cooking and pairing wines. This is our menu:

Poached Salmon with Truffles and Shrimp in Cream Sauce
Autumn Gold Squash Soup (with orange and apple juices)
Maytag Blue Cheese Salad Wedges
Roasted Beef Tenderloin with Cabernet Wine Sauce and Roasted Garlic Custard
Roast Pork with Apricot, Cherry and Pecan Stuffing and Fresh Cherry Sauce
Perfect Poached Pears in Muscat Blanc

Please give us some help in selecting the wines – preferably Central Coast or California selections.

Thank you.

Hi Joey, and welcome to the Wine Board. You are literally within walking distance of some of the nicest and most helpful wineries I've ever visited. Please contact any of the following wineries and the list is nowhere's near being comprehensive; and I'm sure they will set up an appointment to sit down with one of their representative, go over your menu and recommend wines. They may even send you to their competitors. You will need several wines to go with those foods. Off the top of my head would recommend Brander, Vaca Mesa, Quepe, Fess Parker, Firestone, Byron, and Arthur Earl.
