Ok, folks...
I had a dream last night that I was drinking a Rose demi-sec champagne.

Does such a thing exist?
I'm not talking cheap off-dry cava rose, but something nutty and berryish and spicy, with a little bit of sweetness.

And should I talk to my therapist about dreaming about wines I have never heard of? Or should I become an oenologist instead?

Don't sweat it VH. I've had hundreds of dereams about drinking wines that were non-existant and enjoyed every one of them. So far I've escaped the guys in the white coats. WW ( OK Buck-Snort...No comments from the Western Legion)

Sure there is. Duval-Leroy makes a Lady Rose that is a demi-sec. I had it at a wedding. There may be others.

The name "Lady Rose" worries me
How was it?

We had a nice rose sparkling wine from the Loire region at a dinner I attended in Raleigh. I got there late driving up from Fayetteville and didn't get the particulars on the wine but will try to find out from the restaurant owner or distributor next week. It was listened as a Brut, not Demi Sec, but tasted a little sweeter than many Brut sparklers.

I know that a lot of people are thrown off by the name Lady Rose but I have tried it and it really is quite an enjoyable wine. And as far as dreaming about wine: I say enjoy it, there's a lot worse things that you could be dreaming about LOL
