The benefit of living in Ukiah is that I have no problem at all reaching major wine regions in under an hour. In 25 minutes, I can be sipping wine at Roederer Estate, which for my money is the best Sparkling Wine around.
This wine was here to open the new year in 2001 and my notes have not changed a bit (had it again two weeks ago). The 23.00 price was worth every drink. The dry and crisp flavor was lasting and left a finish that had hints of sharp citrus. The display is excellent and made for an impressibe bubbly that went down with elegance. Some of the best. 90 in my book.

I agree completely on the Roederer. Always a well-made sparkler at honest pricing. WW

As much as I like the sparking juice from Roederer, I have to tell you that I think the stuff from Iron Horse is just super.
