I love wines, but do not consider myself an expert at picking wines for occasions.
A good friend of mine is getting married asked me to select list for the dinner part of the wedding.
The supper consist of chicken and beef
before supper is cold shrimp and international cheese.

Can you please recommend a red & white wine that would go well for this wedding

Thank You

I would give them a choice of three wines...a Chardonnay, a Pinot Noir or Merlot and a White Zinfandel (not chi-chi, but the only wine many people will drink)

For the White Zin...Beringer or Delicato.

For the Merlot...Monterra or Napa Ridge

For the Pinot Noir...Meridian

For the Chardonnay...Hogue (from Washington), Hahn or Geyser Peak

And if you need some bubbles, it's hard to beat Domaine Ste. Michelle for quality and value and a style that will appeal to a broad audience.
