New Mexico.

Showed a wonderful, vivid, dark salmon color in the glass, with a nose of wild strawberries and fresh baked bread. Lively in the mouth, with light strawberry and raspberry fruit flavors dancing on brisk acidity, finishing dry with yeasty flavors. Very nice bottle of bubbly, and great on another scorching Atlanta summer afternoon. 12% alc. Paid $15 for it at Whole Foods. For my money, Gruet continues to be the best bang for the buck in domestic sparklers. Anne thought it was wonderful, and we'll buy more soon.

Has been a perrinial (do that mean alla'-time?) favorite here on the boaed. Believe it be the Inspector Drewski who discovered this hummer. WW

Don't know if I've been around here long enough to know who discovered it, but it's been a staple in my (read: Anne's) cellar for about 3 years or so. If it was Das Inspektor, then kudos to him!

I think the Blanc de Noirs is still my favorite, but Anne sure liked this one. And, at $15, it's a steal.
