All your talk about the 04 made me pull one of my last 03's out. that and the fact that the last 03 we drank was during last year's nba playoffs and the playoffs just started this year, so we have almost exactly one year difference.

Last year the '03 was a big old fruit bomb. HUGE raspberry liquer and glycerin-sweet. a bit of chocolate--really tasty and indulgent for grenache.

one year later it's still potent, and there's still some raspberry, but a lot of black cherry, too, and the floral qualities of garnacha have really come to the fore... tons of rose petals and dried leaves have come out, and it almost seems like the tannins, though still very nice and pleasant, have increased! probably because the glycerin silky mouthfeel has relaxed a bit.
long finish, really just unbelievable for the $15 i paid. 1 bottle left. i'm going to pick up a 6 pack of the 04 tomorrow, drink one soon, then let rest, umm, rest...

cheers! and long live Borsao!
